1) Participants will learn about the concept of ageism

• Defining internal (self), interpersonal, and systemic ageism

• Relevant cultural considerations

• How ageism impacts patient care, and patient engagement, behavior, and mental health

2) Participants will increase their self-awareness of aging beliefs and explore implicit bias through self-assessment and case discussion(s).

3) Participants will learn strategies for countering ageism

• How to address ageism in direct patient interactions

• Identifying and countering systemic ageism

• Resources on reframing aging will be provided
